Happy New Year!

With 2021 in the rear view, we can look ahead to 2022. First, however, I’d like to say that 2021 was one of the best years so far for Bloodstone Press! We hired several freelance writers, spent a lot of money on art, ran a successful Kickstarter campaign, launched this new website, and made a lot of progress on the AvV setting.

2022 looks to be even better. We are working hard on getting the AvV Players Guide done. A lot of progress has been made on the campaign saga. The outline is coming together and I can share the tentative titles for the first six books. Each book will be a campaign path that takes the characters from 1st to 20th level and covers roughly 20 years of history. Each book will be 500 to 600 pages long, hardcover. The titles for these first six campaign paths are:

Book 1: The Wolves of Ragnorok

Book 2: The Winds of Hades

Book 3: The Quest for Amastrasia

Book 4: The Color of Fire

Book 5: The Rise of Sobek

Book 6: The Blood of Sicily

Before we can start releasing these campaign paths, we have to get the Player’s Guide and the Campaign Guide done. While we are working on those, we will be releasing some short adventures from these campaign paths as previews of what this saga will be like. The first of those is Combat Duty: Destroy the Bridge, which we are currently playtesting. At least two more Combat Duty adventures will be produced. The adventures about Akragas are also part of this preview series and will likely be released this year. In fact, I can say the adventures regarding Akragas occur at the beginning of Book 6.

The Guardians of Democracy adventures occur outside the main saga. GoD is a spin-off series from the main saga and has potential to be a huge series in its own right. There are other spin-offs being considered, but I don’t want to get ahead of myself.

Meanwhile, I am considering working on something else for a few months. This might be a 5e conversion of Telestic Engine, more 1948 content, or something new. I can’t say for sure right now. We will have to wait and see what this new year brings.

Now, time to get busy!
