Droids
Droids are a new species for players in the Telestic Engine campaign setting. More than just a metal humanoids, these steam powered autonomous robots have several optional traits and upgrades to choose from including Booster Rockets, Targeting Computers, and Integrated Weapons. These traits keep them balanced with the other species in the Telestic Engine setting, but make them overpowered for a standard 5e game. Therefore, this file also includes guidelines for toning droids down for play in other settings.
Most droids are assembled in factories and designed for a specific purpose. When you choose this species, select from several different upgrades and options to make your droid character unique. Droids have natural armor and are resistant to many forms of attacks, but they do not heal on their own and require fuel to operate. Though they do not eat or sleep, they require regular preventive maintenance.
