The heroines are inside the city, trying to survive and deal with spies, vermin, dwindling supplies, disorder among their fellow troops, and an increasingly desperate populace. The PCs must slip out of the city and conduct some special operations against the besieging Romans. The PCs must then explore the vast dungeons below the city to find an artifact that might break the siege. Unfortunately, a band of enemy Amazons has also infiltrated the dungeon and is seeking the same artifact. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, outside the city, the Romans have their own problems. When a second Carthaginian army arrives, the Romans build a countervailing wall and become besieged themselves. With their supply lines are cut, they begin rationing and taking more extreme measures. Regardless of who recovers the artifact from the dungeon, the other side has an opportunity to acquire a machine that might nullify the artifact&#8217;s power.
