Giant Kin Traits<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>As a giant kin, your character has certain features and abilities that are unique to your species.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ability Score Increase.<\/strong> Your Strength score increases by 2 and your Constitution score increases by 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Age.<\/strong> Giant kin mature at the same rate humans do and reach adulthood around the age of 20. They live much longer than humans, however, often exceeding 140 years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Size.<\/strong>\u00a0Giant kin range in height from under seven feet tall to over eight feet tall. They have robust builds and can weigh over 500 pounds. Their size is Medium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speed.<\/strong> Your long strides carry you faster than shorter individuals. Your walking speed is 35.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Big Boned.<\/strong> Your tough hide and thick bones afford you greater protection against injury, increasing your AC to 11 + your Dexterity modifier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Load Bearing.<\/strong> You are considered one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and how much weight you can push, drag, or lift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GIANT KIN SUBTYPES<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Three subtypes of giants exist in the multiverse. These are earth, fire, and frost. Earth giant kin are outlined below. The other two are available in the Ancestries PDF<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EARTH GIANT HERITAGE TRAITS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As a descendant of earth giants, your character has the following innate traits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Geologic Metabolism.<\/strong> Your slow metabolism grants you advantage on saving throws against poison and resistance to poison damage.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

EARTH GIANT CULTURE TRAITS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As a member of a earth giant society, your character has adopted the following traits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alignment.<\/strong> Earth giant kin are usually chaotic and about as likely to be good as evil. Earth giants often follow Greek or Phoenician deities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Languages.<\/strong> You can speak Greek or Nordic, plus one other language of your choice. If a language you can speak has a written form, such as Greek, you can also read and write that language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Survivalist.<\/strong> You gain double your proficiency bonus on any Wisdom (Perception) and Wisdom (Survival) checks made in a hilly or mountainous environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
